About Venus (XVS)

Crypto token

Venus (XVS) is a crypto token on the BSC network. It powers its project's ecosystem — used for things like access, governance, fees, or rewards — and trades freely against other digital assets.

How does XVS work?

Venus runs as a token on the BSC network, which means it benefits from that chain's security and tooling while serving the specific role its project defines — for example governance votes, platform fees, staking, or in-app utility.

What is XVS used for?

Holders use XVS to participate in the Venus ecosystem and to gain exposure to the project's growth. As with any token, its value is tied to real usage and demand for what the project offers.

How a XVS swap works

Enter the amount you want to exchange, pick the asset on the other side, and SwapRocket queries every connected exchange partner at once. You choose an offer, paste the wallet address that should receive the funds, and send XVS to the deposit address shown. The partner executes the trade and pays out to your address — SwapRocket never holds your coins, and there is no account to create before you start.

Choosing a rate for XVS

Three offers are presented for every XVS exchange. The best rate returns the largest amount for the size you entered. The fastest route favours the partner with the shortest expected settlement time, which matters when the market is moving. The fixed rate locks the quoted amount for the duration of the order, so what you are shown is what arrives, at the cost of a slightly smaller payout. Floating offers can move with the market between deposit and settlement.

Networks and addresses for XVS

Venus settles on BSC. Always send from and to an address on that network: a deposit sent over a different chain cannot be recovered by the exchange partner. When an asset exists on several chains, pick the matching network in the widget before copying the deposit address, and send a small test amount first if you are unsure.

Venus Protocol uses XVS for decisions, incentives and access to a revenue-funded rewards programme. How do those roles fit together inside its lending markets?

XVS is the governance and incentive token of Venus Protocol, a decentralised lending system associated with BNB Chain. Holders can stake it for voting power and vault rewards, while the Venus Prime programme links long-term participation to additional benefits.

The token behind protocol decisions

Venus documentation identifies XVS as the protocol's native governance token. People who stake XVS in the XVS Vault receive voting power proportional to their stake and can vote on Venus Improvement Proposals.

Governance proposals are where protocol changes are debated and approved. Holding an unstaked balance is not described as equivalent to active voting power; the official process connects that power to the vault.[1], [2]

Staking in the XVS Vault

The vault gives XVS a second role alongside governance. The documentation says stakers can earn yield, creating an incentive to lock tokens and remain involved in protocol decisions.

Base rewards are emitted at a stated rate of 308.7 XVS per day. Venus says funding is transferred every six months from the XVS Distributor to the XVS Vault Store, so the mechanism depends on defined contracts rather than an informal reward promise.[3], [6]

How protocol revenue is divided

Venus tokenomics version 4.1 divides protocol reserve revenue among four destinations. The Treasury Reserve receives 40%, while XVS Vault Rewards, the Venus Prime Token Program and the Risk Fund each receive 20%.

The vault allocation is used to buy back XVS for rewards. These percentages describe the protocol's published distribution framework; they do not indicate a fixed return for an individual staker.[5], [3]

Venus Prime

Venus Prime is a benefits programme built around XVS staking. Its current design uses a time-weighted leaderboard that considers both the size and the age of a stake when determining eligibility.

Eligible participants can receive a non-transferable token associated with additional yield funded from protocol revenue. Because it is non-transferable, the Prime credential is presented as recognition of participation rather than an asset intended for resale.[4], [5]

Contracts and supply

The governance system uses GovernanceBravoDelegate, the XVS Vault and the XVS token contract. Venus publishes deployed-contract references so participants can verify which contracts belong to the protocol before interacting.

The verified BNB Chain token contract sets a maximum total supply of 30 million XVS. A maximum does not reveal the current circulating amount, and it should not be confused with the balance available in markets at a particular moment.[7], [9]

A governance asset, not the stablecoin

XVS coordinates governance and incentives; it is not Venus's synthetic dollar. Venus uses the separate VAI asset for that stablecoin role. Keeping the symbols separate matters when choosing an asset or confirming a deposit.

The protocol also maintains bridging software for taking XVS to supported networks. A bridge creates another contract and network boundary, so a user should confirm both origin and destination rather than assuming every XVS representation is interchangeable.

Together, these pieces explain why XVS has several connected uses. Staking turns it into voting weight, the vault can distribute rewards, and Prime can recognise longer-term participation. None of those mechanics guarantees a market outcome. They are rules for taking part in Venus, and each action carries its own contract permissions and timing. Before staking, read the current vault terms and proposal rules; before bridging, verify the official deployment list. Older Venus Prime material can describe the paused first version, while current documentation refers to PrimeV2 on BNB Chain. Using the latest protocol pages avoids carrying superseded rules into a current transaction.[1], [8], [4]

What remains unknown

Current circulating supply, market value and the currency of any independent audit are UNKNOWN from the first-party protocol pages used here. Those changing or externally assessed figures are not inferred.

What this means when you hold or move XVS

Confirm the destination network and compare its contract with Venus's current deployment list. If you plan to vote or use Prime, check current vault and eligibility rules before staking rather than relying on an older guide.

XVS swap FAQ

How do I swap Venus (XVS) instantly on SwapRocket?

Pick XVS as the asset you want to receive, choose what you're paying with, paste your wallet address, and confirm. SwapRocket hands your order to the provider whose quote pays out the most at that moment, and most swaps complete in under 10 minutes — no SwapRocket account needed.

Can I swap XVS with no KYC?

No SwapRocket account or identity documents are needed to start a crypto-to-crypto swap of XVS. Yes. SwapRocket never holds your funds. The provider that executes the swap receives your deposit, holds it only for the duration of the swap, and sends XVS to the wallet address you provide.

Which network does XVS use here?

SwapRocket supports Venus on the BSC network. Always double-check that your receiving wallet supports this network before confirming.

What fees apply when I swap XVS?

SwapRocket adds no fee or markup to the provider's quote and may earn a commission from the provider on a completed swap. The provider's spread and any network cost it deducts on delivery are already reflected in the XVS amount shown; the network fee your own wallet charges to send the deposit is separate. Spreads vary by provider, pair and size, so compare the quoted receive amount.
