About Global Dollar (USDG)
Crypto token
Global Dollar (USDG) is a crypto token on the ERC20 network. It powers its project's ecosystem — used for things like access, governance, fees, or rewards — and trades freely against other digital assets.
How does USDG work?
Global Dollar runs as a token on the ERC20 network, which means it benefits from that chain's security and tooling while serving the specific role its project defines — for example governance votes, platform fees, staking, or in-app utility.
What is USDG used for?
Holders use USDG to participate in the Global Dollar ecosystem and to gain exposure to the project's growth. As with any token, its value is tied to real usage and demand for what the project offers.

How a USDG swap works
Enter the amount you want to exchange, pick the asset on the other side, and SwapRocket queries every connected exchange partner at once. You choose an offer, paste the wallet address that should receive the funds, and send USDG to the deposit address shown. The partner executes the trade and pays out to your address — SwapRocket never holds your coins, and there is no account to create before you start.
Choosing a rate for USDG
Three offers are presented for every USDG exchange. The best rate returns the largest amount for the size you entered. The fastest route favours the partner with the shortest expected settlement time, which matters when the market is moving. The fixed rate locks the quoted amount for the duration of the order, so what you are shown is what arrives, at the cost of a slightly smaller payout. Floating offers can move with the market between deposit and settlement.
Networks and addresses for USDG
Global Dollar settles on ERC20. Always send from and to an address on that network: a deposit sent over a different chain cannot be recovered by the exchange partner. When an asset exists on several chains, pick the matching network in the widget before copying the deposit address, and send a small test amount first if you are unsure.

Global Dollar (USDG) is a US dollar stablecoin issued by a regulated company and available on several blockchains at once. How do its reserves, its smart-contract controls and its cross-chain design work together to keep one token worth one dollar wherever it lives?
Most stablecoins face the same two tasks: prove that every token is backed, and let people use the token on the networks where they already are. Global Dollar takes a direct approach to both. It is issued by Paxos Digital Singapore, a firm supervised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, backed by cash and cash equivalents held in segregated accounts, and redeemable one for one for US dollars through Paxos. On the technical side, USDG is deployed on several blockchains and uses a single cross-chain token standard to move between them. This profile explains how those parts fit together, using Paxos's own documentation, contracts and reports.
A dollar token with a named, supervised issuer
Paxos describes USDG as a stablecoin that is fully redeemable from Paxos on a one-to-one basis for US dollars, so one USDG is designed to equal one dollar. Tokens are created when approved customers deposit dollars and removed from circulation when they redeem. Paxos's developer guides document how customers mint, redeem and convert USDG on its platform.
The issuer is Paxos Digital Singapore Pte. Ltd., which Paxos identifies as a Major Payments Institution supervised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Paxos's issuance page also lists its US national trust charter regulated by the OCC and an EU issuing entity under the Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, which gives context for the wider group that operates the token.[1], [6], [9], [10]
Reserves you can check each month
According to Paxos, USDG reserves are held in cash and cash equivalents in segregated accounts to protect user assets. The company publishes a transparency page for USDG with regular attestation reports on those reserves.
Paxos states that attestation reports posted on or after February 27, 2026 are issued by KPMG LLP, an independent accounting firm. Paxos also keeps a central attestations page covering its stablecoins, so readers can follow the history of reports rather than relying on a single snapshot.[7], [8]
Contract controls built around multisignature approval
The USDG smart contract is published openly on GitHub. Its documentation lists privileged roles, including administration, pausing, asset protection and supply control, and explains that the addresses holding these roles are multisignature contracts, so no single key can act alone.
The repository also records independent security reviews of the contract code. Publishing both the code and the role structure means anyone can check who is able to change supply or pause transfers, which is the kind of information a regulated dollar token is expected to disclose.[4], [5]
One token on several chains
Paxos's mainnet reference lists official USDG contract addresses on networks including Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Ink, X Layer and Robinhood Chain. On EVM networks the addresses use the familiar 0x format, while on Solana USDG is an SPL token with its own base58 mint address.
To move USDG between networks, Paxos uses LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token standard. Each supported network has its own OFT contract, and the contracts are connected through LayerZero messaging. The aim is that USDG on each chain is the same issuer's token, rather than a separate wrapped copy made by a third party.[2], [3]
Built for developers and payment flows
Paxos provides a quickstart and developer guides for businesses that want to integrate USDG, covering how to acquire, send and redeem it through the Paxos platform. The same documentation hub holds the network and contract references, so integrators can confirm addresses from one official source.
This focus on documentation reflects how USDG is meant to be used: as a settlement dollar that businesses and apps can build on, with the issuer, reserves and contract rules all written down in public.[3], [1], [2]
Keeping one supply as the list of networks grows
The OFT model is designed so that tokens moved between chains remain one fungible supply. Paxos publishes the contracts and addresses for each network, but its public documentation does not describe in detail how cross-chain supply is monitored and reconciled as more networks are added.
How that operational process works day to day is UNKNOWN from public sources and is not guessed at here. The monthly attestations remain the published check on total reserves.[2], [7]
What this means when you hold or move USDG
USDG exists on several networks, and each EVM network has its own contract address. Before sending, check that the network in your quote matches the network the receiving wallet or service supports, and confirm the contract address against Paxos's official list rather than a search result.
SwapRocket lists USDG on its Ethereum (ERC-20) network, so an ERC-20 USDG deposit needs a small amount of ETH for network fees in the sending wallet. A swap provider sets its own confirmation policy before releasing the destination coin. Keep the transaction ID until the order completes, and remember that direct redemption for dollars is handled by Paxos for its own customers.
