About Stable (STABLE)
Layer-1 blockchain
Stable (STABLE) is a Layer-1 blockchain — a base network with its own consensus, validators, and native coin (STABLE) used to pay fees and secure the chain. Developers build applications directly on it, and STABLE is the asset that powers the whole ecosystem.
How does Stable work?
The Stable network is maintained by a distributed set of participants who validate transactions and add them to the blockchain. STABLE is required to pay for transactions and, on many networks, to stake and help secure the chain in exchange for rewards.
What is STABLE used for?
STABLE pays network fees, can often be staked for yield, and serves as the core unit of value across apps built on Stable. Demand for STABLE tends to track activity and adoption on the network itself.

How a STABLE swap works
Enter the amount you want to exchange, pick the asset on the other side, and SwapRocket queries every connected exchange partner at once. You choose an offer, paste the wallet address that should receive the funds, and send STABLE to the deposit address shown. The partner executes the trade and pays out to your address — SwapRocket never holds your coins, and there is no account to create before you start.
Choosing a rate for STABLE
Three offers are presented for every STABLE exchange. The best rate returns the largest amount for the size you entered. The fastest route favours the partner with the shortest expected settlement time, which matters when the market is moving. The fixed rate locks the quoted amount for the duration of the order, so what you are shown is what arrives, at the cost of a slightly smaller payout. Floating offers can move with the market between deposit and settlement.
Networks and addresses for STABLE
Stable settles on Stable. Always send from and to an address on that network: a deposit sent over a different chain cannot be recovered by the exchange partner. When an asset exists on several chains, pick the matching network in the widget before copying the deposit address, and send a small test amount first if you are unsure.

Most chains make you hold a separate coin just to pay fees. Stable made USDT itself the gas token — so what is the STABLE token for, and how does the chain work?
Stable is a payments-focused layer-1 blockchain where USDT0 — a cross-chain form of Tether's USDT — is the native gas token. Payments settle in seconds at sub-cent cost, and the chain is fully EVM-compatible. The STABLE token is the network's governance and staking asset, with a fixed supply of 100 billion. This profile explains the design using Stable's official documentation.
A chain where the gas is already dollars
Stable's documentation opens with a simple pitch: settle stablecoin payments in seconds, at sub-cent cost. It is a payments layer-1 where USDT0 is the native gas token — instant settlement, fully EVM-compatible, with no separate gas asset to manage.
That choice removes a friction every other EVM chain has: on Stable, the asset you pay fees in is the same dollar-denominated asset you are trying to move. The docs list the network's headline properties as sub-second finality, sub-cent fees, USDT-native gas and EVM equivalence.[1], [2], [3]
Built for payments first
The documentation's product paths are all payment-shaped: moving USDT0 natively for peer-to-peer transfers, recurring subscriptions, invoice settlement and pay-per-call APIs; settling cross-border through an off-ramp network across Africa and the Middle East that pays out into named accounts; and a pilot for agentic payments, where autonomous agents pay per request through MCP servers wired into AI editors.
Under the hood, USDT0 reaches the chain through a bridge built on LayerZero's OFT standard: an OFT adapter locks USDT0 on Ethereum, LayerZero's dual DVN verification confirms the message, and USDT0 is issued on Stable. The Stable SDK can quote and route bridges automatically.[4], [5], [6], [7]
What STABLE, the token, actually does
STABLE is the governance token of the Stable mainnet. According to the tokenomics page, it secures the network through delegated proof-of-stake, governs protocol upgrades, and entitles stakers to a share of the USDT0 gas revenue distributed by validators.
So the chain's design cleanly separates the two assets: USDT0 is what users spend and pay fees with, while STABLE is what validators and stakers commit to secure and steer the network.[8], [9], [10]
A fixed supply of 100 billion
STABLE's total supply is fixed at 100,000,000,000 tokens, issued as an ERC-20 token on the Stable mainnet EVM with 18 decimals. Only a portion of the supply enters circulation at the mainnet launch.
The published allocation splits the supply into four parts: 25 percent to investors and advisors, 25 percent to the team, 40 percent to ecosystem and community, and 10 percent to a genesis distribution. The genesis distribution is fully unlocked at mainnet launch to bootstrap usage, liquidity and early campaigns, while team and investor allocations follow a one-year cliff followed by linear vesting. The ecosystem share funds developer grants, onboarding incentives, payment partner integrations, on-chain activity rewards, hackathons and infrastructure grants, with 8 percent of total supply unlocked at launch for strategic partners and early growth.[11], [12], [13], [14], [15]
An EVM environment with extras
Because Stable is EVM-equivalent, developers deploy and verify contracts in Solidity as they would on Ethereum, and the docs provide a direct comparison of what stays the same and what changes when porting from Ethereum. Stable adds protocol-level precompiles — Bank, Distribution and Staking — that contracts can call.
Account features include EIP-7702 delegation, session keys and spending limits, aimed at both user and agent accounts. The testnet's genesis dates to April 7, 2025, and the docs publish chain IDs, RPC endpoints, faucets and explorers for both testnet and mainnet.[16], [17], [18], [19]
How much payment volume moves on-chain
Stable is built for stablecoin payments and publishes its design, tokenomics and network tooling. How much real payment volume the mainnet ultimately carries is UNKNOWN from public sources.
What this means when you hold or move STABLE
STABLE is a young network's governance token, distinct from the USDT0 that powers its fees — do not confuse the two when choosing what to swap. Check that your receiving wallet supports the Stable network before moving STABLE there.
As with any swap, match the network in your quote to the receiving wallet and keep the transaction ID until the swap completes.

What fees apply when I swap STABLE?
SwapRocket adds no fee or markup to the provider's quote and may earn a commission from the provider on a completed swap.
