About Raydium (RAY)

Crypto token

Raydium (RAY) is a crypto token on the Solana network. It powers its project's ecosystem — used for things like access, governance, fees, or rewards — and trades freely against other digital assets.

How does RAY work?

Raydium runs as a token on the Solana network, which means it benefits from that chain's security and tooling while serving the specific role its project defines — for example governance votes, platform fees, staking, or in-app utility.

What is RAY used for?

Holders use RAY to participate in the Raydium ecosystem and to gain exposure to the project's growth. As with any token, its value is tied to real usage and demand for what the project offers.

How a RAY swap works

Enter the amount you want to exchange, pick the asset on the other side, and SwapRocket queries every connected exchange partner at once. You choose an offer, paste the wallet address that should receive the funds, and send RAY to the deposit address shown. The partner executes the trade and pays out to your address — SwapRocket never holds your coins, and there is no account to create before you start.

Choosing a rate for RAY

Three offers are presented for every RAY exchange. The best rate returns the largest amount for the size you entered. The fastest route favours the partner with the shortest expected settlement time, which matters when the market is moving. The fixed rate locks the quoted amount for the duration of the order, so what you are shown is what arrives, at the cost of a slightly smaller payout. Floating offers can move with the market between deposit and settlement.

Networks and addresses for RAY

Raydium settles on Solana. Always send from and to an address on that network: a deposit sent over a different chain cannot be recovered by the exchange partner. When an asset exists on several chains, pick the matching network in the widget before copying the deposit address, and send a small test amount first if you are unsure.

Trading on a blockchain means there is no central order book run by a company — pools of tokens and open programs do the work instead. How does Raydium organise that on Solana, and where does RAY fit?

Raydium is a suite of on-chain trading programs on Solana: automated market makers, concentrated liquidity pools, farms, a token launchpad and perpetual futures. Its documentation describes six on-chain programs, each with public accounts, math, instructions and fees. RAY is the ecosystem's token. This profile uses Raydium's official site and documentation.

An exchange made of programs

Raydium is not a company running a matching engine. Its documentation describes it as a set of on-chain programs on Solana that anyone can build on, integrate with or trade through. The documentation is explicitly written for three audiences: developers who build and integrate, researchers who audit and analyse, and end users who want to swap or provide liquidity safely.

That structure matters for understanding the token. The programs are the product; the documentation, SDKs and APIs around them are public and open source under an MIT licence, with community-maintained docs that accept pull requests.[1], [2], [3]

Three ways to make a market

The documentation details three market-making designs. AMM v4 is the original hybrid automated market maker, integrated with the OpenBook order book, and the docs describe it as holding the deepest liquidity for many pairs. CPMM is the standard constant-product pool, native to Solana's Token-2022 standard, and is the recommended design for new pools. CLMM is concentrated liquidity, where liquidity providers choose price ranges so their capital works harder within them.

Each design has public instructions — swap, deposit, withdraw, open position — and published fee economics. A researcher can read the account state machines and the math behind each pool type directly from the docs.[4], [5], [6]

Farms, launches and perpetuals

Beyond swapping, the documentation covers three more programs. Farm and Staking v6 handles reward distribution with up to five reward streams and Token-2022 staking. LaunchLab is a bonding-curve token launchpad with configurable curves, creator fees and a graduation process when a token outgrows the curve. Perps, in beta, offers perpetual futures through Orderly Network with REST and WebSocket APIs.

This spread is why Raydium describes itself as a complete reference for trading on Solana: a token can launch on LaunchLab, graduate into pools, and gain liquidity incentives through farms, all within the same program suite.[7], [8], [9]

Built for audit and for agents

The documentation is unusually explicit about being machine-readable. Every page exposes a copy menu and a stable JSON-LD slug, and the project publishes an llms.txt index so that coding assistants and research pipelines can navigate the docs. Protocol security issues are handled through an Immunefi bug bounty, separately from the documentation repository.

For users, the security-relevant point is that the programs' addresses, instructions and error codes are published, so what a wallet signs can be checked against the public reference.[10], [11]

Where RAY fits

RAY is the token of the Raydium ecosystem on Solana. It is the asset associated with the protocol's staking and community programmes, and it trades in the same pools the documentation describes.

As with any exchange token, its role is defined by the programmes the team and community run around it. The documentation's user guide covers wallet setup, a first swap, providing liquidity and claiming rewards — the practical loop most holders interact with.[12], [1]

How the Perps beta develops

The perpetual futures program is labelled beta in the documentation and runs through Orderly Network. Its final scope and how it settles into the broader product suite is UNKNOWN from official sources at the time of writing.

It is not predicted here.[9]

What this means when you hold or move RAY

RAY is a Solana asset. Before confirming a swap, check that your receiving wallet supports Solana tokens and that the network in your quote matches, and keep your transaction ID until delivery so you can trace it on a Solana explorer.

Providing liquidity, farming and staking all carry their own mechanics and risks — pool prices move against holders when the relative price of the two assets changes. Those actions happen in Raydium's own app, not through a swap, and are optional.

Fees and pricing

Zero added fees: SwapRocket does not add a platform fee, a minimum or a withdrawal charge — the rate you see is the rate you get. Blockchain network fees are shown in full before you confirm, and the final amount you receive is quoted up front.

SwapRocket does not add a separate fee or markup to the provider quote. SwapRocket may earn a commission from the liquidity provider when a completed swap is referred through our platform. Provider spreads and applicable network costs are reflected in the quoted amount.

Network fees are set by the blockchain, not by SwapRocket. No account, no subscription and no withdrawal charge. Live support is available 24/7.

RAY swap FAQ

How do I swap Raydium (RAY) instantly on SwapRocket?

Can I swap RAY with no KYC?

No SwapRocket account or identity documents are needed to start a crypto-to-crypto swap of RAY. The provider that executes the swap may still request identity verification or hold a swap for review under its own AML and sanctions policy, regardless of amount. Selling to a bank account goes through a regulated payment partner that verifies the payer; card purchases on SwapRocket are coming soon.

Is swapping Raydium on SwapRocket non-custodial?

Yes. SwapRocket never holds your funds. The provider that executes the swap receives your deposit, holds it only for the duration of the swap, and sends RAY to the wallet address you provide.

Which network does RAY use here?

SwapRocket supports Raydium on the Solana network. Always double-check that your receiving wallet supports this network before confirming.

What fees apply when I swap RAY?

SwapRocket adds no fee or markup to the provider's quote and may earn a commission from the provider on a completed swap. The provider's spread and any network cost it deducts on delivery are already reflected in the RAY amount shown; the network fee your own wallet charges to send the deposit is separate. Spreads vary by provider, pair and size, so compare the quoted receive amount.
