About Gravity (G)

Crypto token

Gravity (G) is a crypto token on the ETH network. It powers its project's ecosystem — used for things like access, governance, fees, or rewards — and trades freely against other digital assets.

How does G work?

Gravity runs as a token on the ETH network, which means it benefits from that chain's security and tooling while serving the specific role its project defines — for example governance votes, platform fees, staking, or in-app utility.

What is G used for?

Holders use G to participate in the Gravity ecosystem and to gain exposure to the project's growth. As with any token, its value is tied to real usage and demand for what the project offers.

How a G swap works

Enter the amount you want to exchange, pick the asset on the other side, and SwapRocket queries every connected exchange partner at once. You choose an offer, paste the wallet address that should receive the funds, and send G to the deposit address shown. The partner executes the trade and pays out to your address — SwapRocket never holds your coins, and there is no account to create before you start.

Choosing a rate for G

Three offers are presented for every G exchange. The best rate returns the largest amount for the size you entered. The fastest route favours the partner with the shortest expected settlement time, which matters when the market is moving. The fixed rate locks the quoted amount for the duration of the order, so what you are shown is what arrives, at the cost of a slightly smaller payout. Floating offers can move with the market between deposit and settlement.

Networks and addresses for G

Gravity settles on ETH. Always send from and to an address on that network: a deposit sent over a different chain cannot be recovered by the exchange partner. When an asset exists on several chains, pick the matching network in the widget before copying the deposit address, and send a small test amount first if you are unsure.

Most new blockchains launch with a technology story and then go looking for users. Gravity started from the other end: it was built by Galxe, a platform that already had millions of people doing on-chain quests and campaigns. The question was whether a chain designed around that audience could be fast and cheap enough for everyday activity. What has Gravity built, and where does G come in?

Gravity describes itself as an ultra-fast parallel EVM Layer 1 blockchain built by Galxe, delivering 1 gigagas per second of throughput and sub-second finality to over 25 million users. It combines a pipelined AptosBFT consensus engine with Grevm, its parallel EVM runtime, and secures the network with proof of stake backed by restaking. G is the network's token. This profile uses Gravity's official website.

A chain built by Galxe

Gravity's homepage leads with speed: an ultra-fast parallel EVM Layer 1, delivering 1 gigagas per second throughput and sub-second finality to over 25 million users. Right underneath comes the origin story in three words: built by Galxe.

That lineage matters. Gravity calls itself the magnet chain for Web3 developers and says builders can tap into more than 25 million users in the Gravity ecosystem. Instead of a new chain waiting for an audience, it starts with one.

The stated goal is mass adoption. The site describes Gravity as a high-performance Layer 1 engineered for exactly that.[1], [2], [3]

What makes it fast

Gravity explains its performance in two parts. Consensus — how nodes agree on the order of transactions — runs on a pipelined AptosBFT engine, which overlaps stages of the process instead of doing them one after another.

Execution runs on Grevm, short for Gravity EVM, a parallel runtime that processes independent transactions at the same time. Because it is EVM-compatible, apps and tools written for Ethereum can work on Gravity without rewriting.

Security comes from proof of stake reinforced by restaking technology, which the site lists as restaking-powered PoS security with built-in resilience.[4], [5]

From rollup to Layer 1

Gravity published its rollout in two stages. In Q3 2024 it launched Gravity Alpha Mainnet, an Ethereum rollup powered by the Arbitrum Nitro stack — a way to get users and apps live quickly.

The second stage, scheduled for Q4 2025 on the roadmap, is Gravity Mainnet: a restaking-powered proof-of-stake Layer 1 that also integrates Reth as its EVM execution engine.

Getting started is framed in three steps on the homepage: bridge tokens using the native bridge or supported bridges, add the Gravity network to your wallet, then explore the growing ecosystem of apps.[6], [7], [8]

What builders can do, and where G fits

Gravity highlights two features for developers. Balance abstraction with yield uses its native omnichain intent protocol so apps can offer users a yield-enabled unified balance across chains. Omnichain loyalty points use the chain's low costs to put loyalty points fully on-chain for more transparency.

To grow that ecosystem, Gravity has announced a $50 million ecosystem VC alliance aimed at next-generation projects, and the site links to an independent Messari report on the network.

G is the Gravity token. The documentation is more specific than the homepage: G is the native coin used for transaction fees, staking and governance on Gravity. It replaced GAL as the shared token for Gravity and the wider Galxe ecosystem after the Galxe DAO approved the migration.

That consolidation gives one asset several jobs. A user needs G to pay for activity on the chain, validators use it as collateral, and holders can take part in governance. Gravity also documents a canonical bridge that locks ERC-20 G on Ethereum and issues native G one-for-one on Gravity, which is why checking the destination network matters before a transfer.[9], [10], [11], [12], [13]

Supply and staking details

The official pages read for this profile do not state G's total supply, validator reward rate or the DAO's detailed voting rules. The live counters for wallets, value locked and transactions did not render in the page text read for this profile. Those figures are UNKNOWN from the sources used here.[11]

What this means when you hold or move G

G can exist on Gravity's own network and on other chains. Confirm which network your receiving wallet expects before you send, and add the Gravity network to your wallet if it is not already supported.

Keep your transaction ID until delivery is confirmed.

Fees and pricing

Zero added fees: SwapRocket does not add a platform fee, a minimum or a withdrawal charge — the rate you see is the rate you get. Blockchain network fees are shown in full before you confirm, and the final amount you receive is quoted up front.

SwapRocket does not add a separate fee or markup to the provider quote. SwapRocket may earn a commission from the liquidity provider when a completed swap is referred through our platform. Provider spreads and applicable network costs are reflected in the quoted amount.

Network fees are set by the blockchain, not by SwapRocket. No account, no subscription and no withdrawal charge. Live support is available 24/7.

Can I swap G with no KYC?

No SwapRocket account or identity documents are needed to start a crypto-to-crypto swap of G. The provider that executes the swap may still request identity verification or hold a swap for review under its own AML and sanctions policy, regardless of amount. Is swapping Gravity on SwapRocket non-custodial?

Yes. SwapRocket never holds your funds. The provider that executes the swap receives your deposit, holds it only for the duration of the swap, and sends G to the wallet address you provide.

Which network does G use here?

SwapRocket supports Gravity on the ETH network. Always double-check that your receiving wallet supports this network before confirming.

What fees apply when I swap G?

SwapRocket adds no fee or markup to the provider's quote and may earn a commission from the provider on a completed swap. The provider's spread and any network cost it deducts on delivery are already reflected in the G amount shown; the network fee your own wallet charges to send the deposit is separate. Spreads vary by provider, pair and size, so compare the quoted receive amount.
