About EigenCloud (EIGEN)
Crypto token
EigenCloud (EIGEN) is a crypto token on the ERC20 network. It powers its project's ecosystem — used for things like access, governance, fees, or rewards — and trades freely against other digital assets.
How does EIGEN work?
EigenCloud runs as a token on the ERC20 network, which means it benefits from that chain's security and tooling while serving the specific role its project defines — for example governance votes, platform fees, staking, or in-app utility.
What is EIGEN used for?
Holders use EIGEN to participate in the EigenCloud ecosystem and to gain exposure to the project's growth. As with any token, its value is tied to real usage and demand for what the project offers.

How a EIGEN swap works
Enter the amount you want to exchange, pick the asset on the other side, and SwapRocket queries every connected exchange partner at once. You choose an offer, paste the wallet address that should receive the funds, and send EIGEN to the deposit address shown. The partner executes the trade and pays out to your address — SwapRocket never holds your coins, and there is no account to create before you start.
Choosing a rate for EIGEN
Three offers are presented for every EIGEN exchange. The best rate returns the largest amount for the size you entered. The fastest route favours the partner with the shortest expected settlement time, which matters when the market is moving. The fixed rate locks the quoted amount for the duration of the order, so what you are shown is what arrives, at the cost of a slightly smaller payout. Floating offers can move with the market between deposit and settlement.
Networks and addresses for EIGEN
EigenCloud settles on ERC20. Always send from and to an address on that network: a deposit sent over a different chain cannot be recovered by the exchange partner. When an asset exists on several chains, pick the matching network in the widget before copying the deposit address, and send a small test amount first if you are unsure.

AI agents are starting to trade, pay and make decisions for people. But how do you know an agent — or the server running it — actually did what it promised? EigenCloud's answer is to make computing verifiable, backed by real money that can be taken away if someone cheats. What does that mean in practice, and where does the EIGEN token come in?
EigenCloud calls itself the verifiable cloud for the agentic era. It offers building blocks for trustworthy computing, AI answers and data, all secured by stake on EigenLayer, where people stake ETH and EIGEN. This profile uses EigenCloud's official website.
Why trust matters for AI agents
EigenCloud's argument is that AI can't scale if agents can't be trusted. As agents take on higher-stakes tasks, users need to know the agent behaved exactly as promised.
EigenCloud says it lets developers add verifiability to data, computation and AI inference, backed by billions of dollars of slashable stake on EigenLayer. Slashable means stakers can lose part of their deposit if the service they secure misbehaves.[1], [2]
Four building blocks
EigenCompute adds cryptographic trust to an application with zero code changes, and lets you run any code, in any language, on any chain.
EigenAI offers AI results you can prove, using deterministic inference with drop-in compatibility with OpenAI's API. EigenDA provides tamper-resistant data availability at scale, with high throughput and sub-second confirmations for rollups and apps.
EigenLayer is the trust layer underneath: people stake ETH and EIGEN to secure the services, and earn rewards for doing so.[3], [4], [5]
Who is using it
EigenCloud lists four use cases, each tied to a named example. For insured DeFi, it says it powers cross-chain messaging and bridging such as LayerZero. For sovereign agents, it says it powers Coinbase's AgentKit.
For developers, EigenCloud offers docs, a command-line tool and an AgentKit, and says apps and agents can be built and deployed in minutes.
For agentic finance — verifiable agent-to-agent payments — it says it powers Google's A2A protocol. For provably fair gaming, it cites real-money tournaments for games like OpenFront, with verifiable results and automatic payouts.[6], [8]
A recent change to EIGEN rewards
A banner on the site announces that EIGEN emissions to the ETH quorum have ended, and that previously allocated emissions will be burned.
In plain terms, new EIGEN rewards are no longer being paid to people securing services with staked ETH, and tokens that had been set aside for those rewards will be destroyed rather than distributed. EIGEN staking itself remains part of EigenLayer.[7], [5]
A marketplace for trust
EigenLayer's documentation describes the system as a marketplace connecting three groups. Restakers commit assets, operators run software and accept delegated stake, and independently validated services define the work they need secured. A service can then pay rewards and set slashing conditions for broken commitments instead of building a new validator network from nothing.
The assets that can participate are broader than EIGEN alone. EigenLayer supports native ETH, liquid staking tokens, EIGEN and strategies built around other ERC-20 assets. EIGEN's distinctive purpose, according to its whitepaper, is to extend cryptoeconomic security to faults that people can broadly agree happened even when a smart contract cannot judge them mechanically.
The Eigen Foundation recorded an initial supply of 1,673,646,668.28466 EIGEN and allocated 45% of it to the community across stakedrops, community initiatives and ecosystem development. The unusually precise number was chosen to encode the phrase open innovation on a telephone keypad, a small detail that reflects how the foundation frames the token's purpose.
Governance is still developing. The foundation documents multisignature groups and a Protocol Council that reviews improvement proposals, alongside a stated goal of moving toward broader community control through EigenGov. That makes EIGEN both a security asset in today's network and part of an unfinished governance transition.[9], [10], [11], [12]
Supply and full token role
The official material gives EIGEN's initial supply and security role, but does not state how much of the ended ETH-quorum allocation will ultimately be burned or promise a fixed staking return. Those changing figures remain UNKNOWN here.[7]
What this means when you hold or move EIGEN
EIGEN may exist on more than one network. Confirm which network your receiving wallet expects before you send.
If you plan to stake, use EigenLayer's official links, and keep your transaction ID until delivery is confirmed.

EIGEN swap FAQ
How do I swap EigenCloud (EIGEN) instantly on SwapRocket?
Pick EIGEN as the asset you want to receive, choose what you're paying with, paste your wallet address, and confirm. SwapRocket hands your order to the provider whose quote pays out the most at that moment, and most swaps complete in under 10 minutes — no SwapRocket account needed.
Can I swap EIGEN with no KYC?
No SwapRocket account or identity documents are needed to start a crypto-to-crypto swap of EIGEN. The provider that executes the swap may still request identity verification or hold a swap for review under its own AML and sanctions policy, regardless of amount. Selling to a bank account goes through a regulated payment partner that verifies the payer; card purchases on SwapRocket are coming soon.
Is swapping EigenCloud on SwapRocket non-custodial?
Yes. SwapRocket never holds your funds. The provider that executes the swap receives your deposit, holds it only for the duration of the swap, and sends EIGEN to the wallet address you provide.
Which network does EIGEN use here?
SwapRocket supports EigenCloud on the ERC20 network. Always double-check that your receiving wallet supports this network before confirming.
What fees apply when I swap EIGEN?
SwapRocket adds no fee or markup to the provider's quote and may earn a commission from the provider on a completed swap. The provider's spread and any network cost it deducts on delivery are already reflected in the EIGEN amount shown; the network fee your own wallet charges to send the deposit is separate. Spreads vary by provider, pair and size, so compare the quoted receive amount.
