About Cartesi (CTSI)
Crypto token
Cartesi (CTSI) is a crypto token on the ETH network. It powers its project's ecosystem — used for things like access, governance, fees, or rewards — and trades freely against other digital assets.
How does CTSI work?
Cartesi runs as a token on the ETH network, which means it benefits from that chain's security and tooling while serving the specific role its project defines — for example governance votes, platform fees, staking, or in-app utility.
What is CTSI used for?
Holders use CTSI to participate in the Cartesi ecosystem and to gain exposure to the project's growth. As with any token, its value is tied to real usage and demand for what the project offers.

How a CTSI swap works
Enter the amount you want to exchange, pick the asset on the other side, and SwapRocket queries every connected exchange partner at once. You choose an offer, paste the wallet address that should receive the funds, and send CTSI to the deposit address shown. The partner executes the trade and pays out to your address — SwapRocket never holds your coins, and there is no account to create before you start.
Choosing a rate for CTSI
Three offers are presented for every CTSI exchange. The best rate returns the largest amount for the size you entered. The fastest route favours the partner with the shortest expected settlement time, which matters when the market is moving. The fixed rate locks the quoted amount for the duration of the order, so what you are shown is what arrives, at the cost of a slightly smaller payout. Floating offers can move with the market between deposit and settlement.
Networks and addresses for CTSI
Cartesi settles on ETH. Always send from and to an address on that network: a deposit sent over a different chain cannot be recovered by the exchange partner. When an asset exists on several chains, pick the matching network in the widget before copying the deposit address, and send a small test amount first if you are unsure.

Writing a blockchain app usually means learning a new language and living with tight limits on how much computing you can do. Meanwhile, decades of ordinary software — Linux, familiar libraries, mature tools — sits unused. Cartesi asks a simple question: what if a blockchain app could just run that software, while still being secured by Ethereum?
Cartesi's tagline is "Any code. Ethereum's security." It lets developers build app-specific rollups that run a full Linux stack inside a verifiable virtual machine. CTSI is the project's token. This profile uses Cartesi's official website.
Linux inside a blockchain app
At the heart of Cartesi is the Cartesi Machine, a virtual machine built on the RISC-V architecture. Cartesi says it can boot Linux or other mature operating systems, and run a full Linux and RISC-V stack in a composable, verifiable rollup environment.
For developers, the point is familiarity. Instead of rewriting everything for a blockchain, they can use the programming languages, code libraries and open-source tools they already know.
Cartesi says this also frees builders from the design trade-offs of the EVM, Ethereum's own execution environment, so they can focus on their app's logic.[1], [2]
One rollup per app
Rather than sharing one busy chain with everyone, Cartesi is designed around app-specific rollups. Each app gets its own rollup with dedicated compute.
Cartesi says this brings significant gains in computing capacity without giving up decentralisation, security or censorship resistance. Because resources are dedicated, it says apps benefit from predictable, stable fees.
The framework is modular. Cartesi rollups can run as a layer two, a layer three or as sovereign rollups, and developers get more control over things like gas metering and data-availability choices.[3], [4], [5]
Security borrowed from Ethereum
Cartesi apps inherit security and censorship resistance from Ethereum, the base layer.
The site says its rollups are backed by a fraud-proof system and are categorised as Stage-2 by L2BEAT, an independent site that rates how decentralised rollups are. Stage 2 is its highest category.[6], [7]
An open, public ecosystem
Cartesi describes itself as an open-source project built by independent teams, companies and individuals, working transparently and in public.
The site highlights use cases across AI, DeFi and gaming — areas where heavier computation helps. It offers developer docs, a quickstart guide, a Rollup Lab, a bug bounty and a Discord where newcomers can talk to core contributors.
Governance has its own hub, and the CTSI token has a dedicated page linked from the site, alongside a whitepaper published by the Cartesi Foundation.[8], [9], [10]
What CTSI does
Cartesi's token page identifies CTSI as an ERC-20 asset with roles in governance and staking. Staked CTSI gives one vote per token in Snapshot proposals, including decisions about grants and the project's Technical Evolution Plan. The public voting record lets anyone see which proposals attracted support and how voting power was used.
The staking system offers several levels of involvement. A holder can delegate to a decentralised pool, operate a private node to compete for CTSI block rewards from the Mine Reserve, or use a custodian that supports staking. Cartesi says there is no protocol-enforced minimum stake, although running infrastructure for a very small amount may not be economical.
Cartesi also describes a planned Validator Marketplace. The idea is that holders will be able to delegate CTSI to validators or support individual applications. It is a future part of the design, not something treated here as already available.
Together, these roles connect CTSI to both the project's present community decisions and its intended future security market. The distinction matters: Snapshot governance and existing staking choices can be checked today, while the Validator Marketplace belongs to the roadmap and should not be described as a finished product.[11], [12], [13]
Token details
The official pages confirm governance, staking and the planned Validator Marketplace, but live reward rates and the marketplace's final operating rules can change. Those current figures are UNKNOWN here rather than projected.[10]
What this means when you hold or move CTSI
CTSI may exist on more than one network. Confirm which network your receiving wallet expects before you send.

Fees and pricing
Zero added fees: SwapRocket does not add a platform fee, a minimum or a withdrawal charge — the rate you see is the rate you get. Blockchain network fees are shown in full before you confirm, and the final amount you receive is quoted up front.
SwapRocket does not add a separate fee or markup to the provider quote. SwapRocket may earn a commission from the liquidity provider when a completed swap is referred through our platform. Provider spreads and applicable network costs are reflected in the quoted amount.
Network fees are set by the blockchain, not by SwapRocket. No account, no subscription and no withdrawal charge. Live support is available 24/7.
CTSI swap FAQ
How do I swap Cartesi (CTSI) instantly on SwapRocket?
Pick CTSI as the asset you want to receive, choose what you're paying with, paste your wallet address, and confirm. SwapRocket hands your order to the provider whose quote pays out the most at that moment, and most swaps complete in under 10 minutes — no SwapRocket account needed.
Can I swap CTSI with no KYC?
No SwapRocket account or identity documents are needed to start a crypto-to-crypto swap of CTSI. The provider that executes the swap may still request identity verification or hold a swap for review under its own AML and sanctions policy, regardless of amount. Selling to a bank account goes through a regulated payment partner that verifies the payer; card purchases on SwapRocket are coming soon.
Is swapping Cartesi on SwapRocket non-custodial?
Yes. SwapRocket never holds your funds. The provider that executes the swap receives your deposit, holds it only for the duration of the swap, and sends CTSI to the wallet address you provide.
Which network does CTSI use here?
SwapRocket supports Cartesi on the ETH network. Always double-check that your receiving wallet supports this network before confirming.
What fees apply when I swap CTSI?
SwapRocket adds no fee or markup to the provider's quote and may earn a commission from the provider on a completed swap. The provider's spread and any network cost it deducts on delivery are already reflected in the CTSI amount shown; the network fee your own wallet charges to send the deposit is separate. Spreads vary by provider, pair and size, so compare the quoted receive amount.
