About Conflux (CFX)

Layer-1 blockchain

Conflux (CFX) is a Layer-1 blockchain — a base network with its own consensus, validators, and native coin (CFX) used to pay fees and secure the chain. Developers build applications directly on it, and CFX is the asset that powers the whole ecosystem.

How does Conflux work?

The Conflux network is maintained by a distributed set of participants who validate transactions and add them to the blockchain. CFX is required to pay for transactions and, on many networks, to stake and help secure the chain in exchange for rewards.

What is CFX used for?

CFX pays network fees, can often be staked for yield, and serves as the core unit of value across apps built on Conflux. Demand for CFX tends to track activity and adoption on the network itself.

How a CFX swap works

Enter the amount you want to exchange, pick the asset on the other side, and SwapRocket queries every connected exchange partner at once. You choose an offer, paste the wallet address that should receive the funds, and send CFX to the deposit address shown. The partner executes the trade and pays out to your address — SwapRocket never holds your coins, and there is no account to create before you start.

Choosing a rate for CFX

Three offers are presented for every CFX exchange. The best rate returns the largest amount for the size you entered. The fastest route favours the partner with the shortest expected settlement time, which matters when the market is moving. The fixed rate locks the quoted amount for the duration of the order, so what you are shown is what arrives, at the cost of a slightly smaller payout. Floating offers can move with the market between deposit and settlement.

Networks and addresses for CFX

Conflux settles on Conflux. Always send from and to an address on that network: a deposit sent over a different chain cannot be recovered by the exchange partner. When an asset exists on several chains, pick the matching network in the widget before copying the deposit address, and send a small test amount first if you are unsure.

Conflux uses a Tree-Graph ledger instead of a single chain of blocks. What does that design buy it, and what does CFX do inside the network?

Conflux is a layer-1 blockchain built around a Tree-Graph ledger structure that processes blocks in parallel, with a dual-space design spanning its original Core Space and an EVM-compatible eSpace. This profile is built from Conflux's own site and developer documentation, with everything else marked unverified.

What Conflux says it is

Conflux's own site presents the network as a blockchain without barriers, built to connect creators, communities and markets across borders and protocols. Its headline technical claim is a Tree-Graph consensus algorithm that uses parallel processing of blocks and transactions to lower confirmation times and increase throughput.

The documentation describes the network in two parts. Core Space is the original chain, described as a third-generation decentralised blockchain using the Tree-Graph ledger structure and the Ghast consensus algorithm, with a natively integrated transaction sponsorship mechanism. eSpace is a fully EVM-compatible chain with lower gas fees and higher throughput than Ethereum, aimed at developers porting Ethereum applications.[1], [2], [3]

How it works

In a conventional blockchain, blocks that arrive at the same time compete and all but one are discarded. Conflux's Tree-Graph structure instead keeps concurrent blocks and orders them, which is what allows the parallel processing the project claims. The site describes the network as using a tested proof-of-work consensus for security, with anti-reentrance attack protection at the protocol level.

Two user-facing mechanisms stand out. The fee sponsorship mechanism lets sponsors pay part or all of another user's transaction fees, so users with a zero wallet balance can still interact with the chain — aimed at easing onboarding. Built-in staking pays staked tokens an annualised rate, which the site states is currently around 4 percent, generated by additional token issuance. A Space Bridge guides users in moving CFX between eSpace and Core Space, and ShuttleFlow is described as a cross-chain asset bridge to other protocols.[4], [5], [6], [7]

What CFX is used for

The site describes CFX as the unit of value at the centre of the token economy: it pays transaction fees, earns rewards through staking, rents storage and participates in network governance. It also incentivises and rewards the miners who secure the network.

The documentation covers running a node and mining CFX, confirming that the network remains mineable — an increasingly unusual property among newer layer-1 networks, most of which launched directly on proof of stake. The documentation is published in English, Chinese and Spanish, reflecting the project's stated cross-border focus and its ambition to serve developers in more than one language community.[8], [9]

Risks and open questions

The dual-space design means users must pay attention to which space their assets are in, and bridging between spaces or to other chains introduces the usual bridge risks. The staking yield is funded by additional issuance, which means it dilutes non-stakers — a deliberate design trade-off rather than a flaw, but one worth understanding.

Proof of work secures the chain, which ties its security budget to mining economics and energy use, and the network's real-world adoption is difficult to verify from official sources alone.

What the official sources do not say

UNKNOWN from official sources: current independent measurements of real transaction throughput in production, the distribution of mining power, and up-to-date figures for active applications across the two spaces.

It is not predicted here.

What this means when you hold or move CFX

CFX exists in both Core Space and eSpace, which have different address formats and wallets — the documentation recommends Fluent Wallet for Core Space and MetaMask for eSpace. Confirm which space your CFX is in before transacting, and use the official Space Bridge guidance to move between them.

Keep your transaction ID until delivery so you can trace it on the Conflux explorer for the relevant space.

CFX swap FAQ

How do I swap Conflux (CFX) instantly on SwapRocket?

Pick CFX as the asset you want to receive, choose what you're paying with, paste your wallet address, and confirm. SwapRocket hands your order to the provider whose quote pays out the most at that moment, and most swaps complete in under 10 minutes — no SwapRocket account needed.

Can I swap CFX with no KYC?

No SwapRocket account or identity documents are needed to start a crypto-to-crypto swap of CFX. The provider that executes the swap may still request identity verification or hold a swap for review under its own AML and sanctions policy, regardless of amount. Yes. SwapRocket never holds your funds. The provider that executes the swap receives your deposit, holds it only for the duration of the swap, and sends CFX to the wallet address you provide.

Which network does CFX use here?

SwapRocket supports Conflux on the Conflux network. Always double-check that your receiving wallet supports this network before confirming.

What fees apply when I swap CFX?

SwapRocket adds no fee or markup to the provider's quote and may earn a commission from the provider on a completed swap. The provider's spread and any network cost it deducts on delivery are already reflected in the CFX amount shown; the network fee your own wallet charges to send the deposit is separate. Spreads vary by provider, pair and size, so compare the quoted receive amount.
