About Bitget Token (BGB)
Crypto token
Bitget Token (BGB) is a crypto token on the ERC20 network. It powers its project's ecosystem — used for things like access, governance, fees, or rewards — and trades freely against other digital assets.
How does BGB work?
Bitget Token runs as a token on the ERC20 network, which means it benefits from that chain's security and tooling while serving the specific role its project defines — for example governance votes, platform fees, staking, or in-app utility.
What is BGB used for?
Holders use BGB to participate in the Bitget Token ecosystem and to gain exposure to the project's growth. As with any token, its value is tied to real usage and demand for what the project offers.

How a BGB swap works
Enter the amount you want to exchange, pick the asset on the other side, and SwapRocket queries every connected exchange partner at once. You choose an offer, paste the wallet address that should receive the funds, and send BGB to the deposit address shown. The partner executes the trade and pays out to your address — SwapRocket never holds your coins, and there is no account to create before you start.
Choosing a rate for BGB
Three offers are presented for every BGB exchange. The best rate returns the largest amount for the size you entered. The fastest route favours the partner with the shortest expected settlement time, which matters when the market is moving. The fixed rate locks the quoted amount for the duration of the order, so what you are shown is what arrives, at the cost of a slightly smaller payout. Floating offers can move with the market between deposit and settlement.
Networks and addresses for BGB
Bitget Token settles on ERC20. Always send from and to an address on that network: a deposit sent over a different chain cannot be recovered by the exchange partner. When an asset exists on several chains, pick the matching network in the widget before copying the deposit address, and send a small test amount first if you are unsure.

BGB is the shared token of the Bitget exchange and Bitget Wallet. What does it do for holders across both, and how do its supply reduction and scheduled burns work?
Many exchanges issue their own token to reward active users. BGB goes a step further by serving both a trading platform and a self-custody wallet. Bitget has also cut its supply sharply and set out a burn schedule tied to how the token is actually used. This profile explains how BGB works, using Bitget's own token pages, white paper and support articles.
One token for exchange and wallet
Bitget describes BGB as the ecosystem token for both the Bitget exchange and Bitget Wallet.
On the exchange side, Bitget lists early access to new tokens through Launchpad, rewards from locking BGB in Launchpool, and access to new tokens through PoolX. That gives holders a reason to use the token rather than simply keep it.[1], [2]
A smaller supply
BGB started with a supply of two billion tokens, a quarter of which went to holders of the earlier BFT token through a swap.
At the end of 2024, Bitget burned 800 million BGB, reducing the total supply to 1.2 billion. That single step removed two fifths of the original supply.[3], [4]
Burns tied to use
From 2025, Bitget's quarterly burns are based on the amount of BGB used as gas fees in that quarter. The burn therefore follows how much the token is actually used.
Bitget's updated white paper also sets out a quarterly buyback and burn using 20% of profits from exchange and wallet operations. Holders can follow both rules from Bitget's published documents.[5], [7]
The official contract
Bitget's white paper names Ethereum (ERC-20) as BGB's chain, with the contract address 0x54D2252757e1672EEaD234D27B1270728fF90581 and an issuance date of 26 July 2021.
Bitget's support pages explain that every token has its own contract address on each blockchain, which is how otherwise similar tokens are told apart. Checking the address is the simplest way to confirm you hold real BGB.[6], [10]
A deployment on Morph
BGB is also used for on-chain trading on Morph, a separate network. Bitget ran a one-to-one swap there from an old contract to a new one to support a smart-contract upgrade.
Bitget's notice made clear that the swap affected only BGB's on-chain trading on Morph, not spot or futures trading on the exchange. Clear notices like this help holders on each network know which version applies to them.[8], [9]
Why an exchange token links to real use
An exchange token is most useful when it connects to things holders already do. BGB's design leans on that idea. Holders who trade on Bitget can use it for access to new token launches and rewards, and people who use Bitget Wallet meet the same token there, so one asset carries across both products.
The burn rules follow the same logic. Since 2025, the quarterly burn is tied to how much BGB was spent as gas fees, and the white paper adds a buyback funded by a share of exchange and wallet profits. Both are set out in documents anyone can read, which lets holders follow how supply changes each quarter rather than relying on announcements alone.
Taken together, the token's uses and its supply rules point in one direction: the more BGB is used, the more of it is removed.[1], [2], [5], [7]
Which other networks are official
Bitget's white paper documents BGB on Ethereum, and its support pages describe the Morph deployment. Whether Bitget recognises other contract addresses on further networks, such as BNB Chain, is UNKNOWN from the official pages reviewed.
What this means when you hold or move BGB
SwapRocket lists BGB as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Send it only to an Ethereum address starting with 0x from a wallet that supports ERC-20 tokens, and keep some ETH for network fees.
Confirm the contract address 0x54D2252757e1672EEaD234D27B1270728fF90581 before adding the token to a wallet, and keep the transaction ID until the swap completes.

BGB swap FAQ
How do I swap Bitget Token (BGB) instantly on SwapRocket?
Pick BGB as the asset you want to receive, choose what you're paying with, paste your wallet address, and confirm. SwapRocket hands your order to the provider whose quote pays out the most at that moment, and most swaps complete in under 10 minutes — no SwapRocket account needed.
Can I swap BGB with no KYC?
No SwapRocket account or identity documents are needed to start a crypto-to-crypto swap of BGB. The provider that executes the swap may still request identity verification or hold a swap for review under its own AML and sanctions policy, regardless of amount. Selling to a bank account goes through a regulated payment partner that verifies the payer; card purchases on SwapRocket are coming soon.
Is swapping Bitget Token on SwapRocket non-custodial?
Yes. SwapRocket never holds your funds. The provider that executes the swap receives your deposit, holds it only for the duration of the swap, and sends BGB to the wallet address you provide.
Which network does BGB use here?
SwapRocket supports Bitget Token on the ERC20 network. Always double-check that your receiving wallet supports this network before confirming.
What fees apply when I swap BGB?
SwapRocket adds no fee or markup to the provider's quote and may earn a commission from the provider on a completed swap. The provider's spread and any network cost it deducts on delivery are already reflected in the BGB amount shown; the network fee your own wallet charges to send the deposit is separate. Spreads vary by provider, pair and size, so compare the quoted receive amount.
