How to Buy Render (RENDER)

Render Network connects artists and studios who need graphics rendered with people who have spare GPU power. RENDER is the token used to pay for that work.

What Render is

Rendering 3D scenes and visual effects takes enormous amounts of graphics processing. Render Network, which grew out of the graphics company OTOY, lets anyone with idle GPUs rent them out as node operators, while creators submit rendering jobs and pay for the work that gets done.

Payment runs on a model the community adopted in its RNP-001 proposal, called Burn-and-Mint Equilibrium. Creators pay for jobs with tokens that are burned, and node operators are rewarded with newly issued tokens on a published schedule. The idea is to link token supply to real use: the more rendering the network does, the more tokens get burned.

In 2023 the community voted, through proposal RNP-002, to move the network's main token from Ethereum to Solana, where fees are lower and transactions faster. The original RNDR ERC-20 token was upgraded to RENDER on Solana. The network has also expanded from rendering into wider GPU computing, including AI workloads, through later community proposals.

For a buyer, the key point is that RENDER now lives primarily on Solana. You need a Solana wallet, and a small amount of SOL to move the token later.

How to buy RENDER step by step

  1. 1

Set up a wallet that can receive RENDER

Use a Solana wallet such as Phantom or Solflare. Solana addresses are 32 to 44 letters and digits. Keep a little SOL to pay future fees. No memo is needed. SwapRocket never holds your coins: they go straight to the address you enter.

  2. 2

Pick the coin you will swap from

Card and bank payments are temporarily offline, so you buy by swapping crypto you already hold, such as BTC or USDT. SwapRocket supports 1,000+ assets.

  3. 3

Check the network and paste your RENDER address

SwapRocket delivers RENDER as an SPL token on Solana, not as the older RNDR token on Ethereum.

  4. 4

Compare live quotes and send your deposit

The swap box compares live rates from several exchange partners, with zero added fees from SwapRocket. Send the exact deposit amount to the one-time address shown.

  5. 5

    Receive your RENDER

Most swaps complete in under 10 minutes, depending on network confirmations. If anything looks stuck, 24/7 live support can check the order with you.

Frequently asked questions

Is RENDER the same as RNDR?

RENDER is the upgraded token on Solana that replaced the original RNDR ERC-20 token, after the community approved proposal RNP-002 in 2023.

How does Render pay node operators?

Under Burn-and-Mint Equilibrium, creators pay with tokens that are burned, and node operators receive newly issued RENDER on a published schedule.

Can I buy RENDER with a card on SwapRocket?

Not right now. Card and bank payments are temporarily offline, so you buy RENDER by swapping another cryptocurrency, such as BTC or USDT.

Do I need an account to buy RENDER?

No. Crypto-to-crypto swaps need no account and no KYC from SwapRocket; you only enter the address that will receive your RENDER.

What fees does SwapRocket charge?

SwapRocket adds zero fees. The rate you see comes from the exchange partner, and the blockchain network charges its own transaction fee.

How long does a RENDER swap take?

Most swaps complete in under 10 minutes, depending on how quickly the networks involved confirm the deposit.
