General questions
What is SwapRocket?
SwapRocket is a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange. You can swap between 1,000+ assets, or buy and sell with a card, without creating an account.
Do I need to register?
No. Crypto-to-crypto swaps need no account, no email and no ID. Buying or selling with a card is handled by a regulated payment partner, and banks require a one-time identity check on card transactions — that step belongs to them, not to SwapRocket.
How fast is a typical exchange?
Most swaps land in under 10 minutes once your deposit is confirmed on its source network. Slower chains such as Bitcoin and Monero can take longer, especially if you send with a low network fee.
Are there any limits?
Crypto swaps start from roughly $2 and have no upper limit. Card purchases follow our payment partner's daily / monthly thresholds, shown at quote time.
What's the difference between fixed and floating rate?
Fixed rate locks the quote at the moment you start the exchange — you know exactly what you'll receive. Floating rate quotes update with the market until your deposit lands, which can be better when prices move in your favour.
How does SwapRocket make money?
SwapRocket adds no fee of its own — the rate you are quoted is the rate the provider pays out. We earn a referral commission from the liquidity provider on each completed swap, which comes out of their margin and not yours. You still pay the blockchain's own network fee, which goes to miners or validators.
What happens if my exchange fails?
Failed exchanges are refunded to a recovery address you provide at quote time. We never hold your funds: the worst-case is a return-to-sender, never a loss.

How do I exchange cryptocurrencies?
SwapRocket makes exchanging cryptocurrencies simple and efficient. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to swap and the asset you would like to receive, and SwapRocket automatically searches across every connected provider to find the best available rate. Confirm the quote, enter your wallet address and send your deposit — no account, no sign-up. Your swap is routed through the best-priced exchange partner and delivered directly to your wallet, usually in under 10 minutes.
What cryptocurrencies do you support?
SwapRocket supports hundreds of cryptocurrencies and tokens across major blockchain networks. Through our integrated liquidity partners and exchange providers, users can instantly swap, buy, or sell a wide range of digital assets at competitive market rates. As the crypto market evolves, we continuously expand our supported assets and blockchain integrations to ensure users have access to new opportunities and emerging ecosystems. We also support multiple payment methods for crypto purchases, including Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, bank transfers, and other locally available payment options depending on your region.
How long does it take to receive my cryptocurrency?
Most swaps complete in under 10 minutes. The exact time depends on how quickly your deposit confirms on its source network, which varies with the chain you are using and the network fee you paid. SwapRocket tracks every order in real time and shows you exactly which step it is on.
How can I contact you?
You can reach the SwapRocket support team 24/7 through live chat directly on the platform. Our support specialists are always available to assist with swap status updates, transaction questions, payment issues, or general inquiries. You can also contact us via email at support@swaprocket.com.
Swapping crypto
What is a crypto swap?
A crypto swap is a direct crypto-to-crypto exchange: you send one coin and receive another at an agreed rate, without ever depositing funds into an exchange account. SwapRocket quotes the swap across every connected liquidity provider, locks the route with the best output, and sends the new coin straight to the wallet address you give us. There is no order book to learn, no trading pair to hunt for, and no balance sitting on a platform afterwards.
How do I swap crypto without KYC?
Pick the pair you want, enter the amount, and paste your receiving address. SwapRocket does not ask you to register or upload identity documents for a crypto-to-crypto swap — we only ever see the addresses involved. Send your deposit to the address shown, and the swap settles to your wallet, usually in under 10 minutes. Liquidity providers can still run their own AML or sanctions checks in certain circumstances, and fiat card buys always require identity verification because a bank is involved.
How is this different from a centralised crypto exchange?
A centralised exchange asks you to create an account, pass identity checks, deposit funds into its custody, then trade and withdraw. A crypto-to-crypto exchange like SwapRocket collapses that into one step: quote, send, receive. Your coins never sit in our custody, there is nothing to withdraw afterwards, and the rate you accept is the rate the swap is routed at across our provider network.
What fees will I pay on a swap?
SwapRocket adds zero fees. You pay the blockchain network fee for the source and destination chains — that goes to miners or validators, never to us — and nothing else. We show the exact amount you will receive before you confirm. You can lower the network cost by choosing a low-fee chain such as TRON or BNB Chain, or by swapping a larger amount so the fixed network cost is spread further.
How long does a swap take?
Most crypto-to-crypto swaps complete in 1–5 minutes once your deposit is confirmed. Bitcoin and Monero can take 10–30 minutes depending on network congestion and the fee you choose. Ethereum L2s like Arbitrum and Optimism often settle in under 60 seconds. You'll see a live timeline after you start the swap.
What is slippage and how do I control it?
Slippage is the difference between the quoted rate and the actual executed rate, caused by market movement between quote and settlement. On SwapRocket you can set a max slippage tolerance (0.1%–3%) before confirming. If the rate moves beyond your limit, the swap is paused and you can retry or cancel — your funds are never at risk of unexpected loss.
Is my swap safe and non-custodial?
Yes. SwapRocket is fully non-custodial — we never hold your funds in a central wallet. Your deposit goes directly from your wallet to the liquidity provider, and the output is sent straight to your destination address. We use industry-standard encryption, partner with audited liquidity providers, and every transaction is verifiable on-chain.
Do I need a specific wallet or KYC to swap?
SwapRocket does not require an account or identity documents to start a crypto-to-crypto swap. Individual liquidity providers may still apply AML, sanctions, fraud-prevention or identity checks in certain circumstances, depending on the provider, the transaction and your jurisdiction. You can use any self-custody wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Ledger, Trezor, etc.) or an exchange withdrawal address. Just make sure the destination wallet supports the exact token and network you selected — sending to the wrong network can result in lost funds.
Is swapping crypto taxable?
In many countries a crypto-to-crypto swap counts as a disposal and can create a taxable gain or loss, even though no cash changed hands. Rules differ widely by jurisdiction, so treat this as general information rather than tax advice and check with a local professional. Every SwapRocket order page shows the amounts, rate and timestamps you need for your records.
Instant exchanges
What is an instant crypto exchange?
An instant crypto exchange lets you swap one cryptocurrency for another in a single step, without creating an account or depositing into a custodial balance. You enter a pair, get a live quote, send the deposit, and receive the output directly to your wallet — typically in 5–20 minutes.
How is an instant exchange different from a centralised exchange?
A centralised exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken) requires sign-up, KYC, and a deposit into a custodial balance. An instant exchange is non-custodial: there is no account, no deposit balance, and the service never holds your funds between trades.
Are instant crypto exchanges safe?
Reputable non-custodial instant exchanges are safer than custodial alternatives in one important way: they never hold your funds, so they can't lose them in a hack or freeze withdrawals. The main user-side risks are mistyping the destination address and sending on the wrong network.
How much does an instant crypto swap cost?
Instant swaps embed the liquidity provider's spread into the quoted rate, and network (gas) fees on both the source and destination chain apply separately. Spreads differ by provider, pair and size, so the only reliable comparison is the amount each quote actually delivers. Aggregators like SwapRocket poll multiple providers to compress that spread to the lowest available value at quote time.
Do instant crypto exchanges require KYC?
SwapRocket does not require an account or identity documents to start a crypto-to-crypto swap. Individual liquidity providers may still apply AML, sanctions, fraud-prevention or identity checks in certain circumstances, depending on the provider, the transaction and your jurisdiction. Identity verification is standard on the fiat side: buying or selling with a card or bank transfer goes through a regulated payment partner, and banking rules require them to verify the payer.
Crypto swap taxes
Is swapping one crypto for another taxable?
In most jurisdictions — including the US (IRS), UK (HMRC), Canada (CRA), Australia (ATO), and most EU countries — a crypto-to-crypto swap is a taxable disposal. You realise a capital gain or loss equal to the fair-market value of the asset received minus the cost basis of the asset given up.
How is the gain on a crypto swap calculated?
Gain = fair-market value of the asset received (in your local fiat at the moment of the swap) minus the cost basis of the asset disposed of (what you originally paid for it, plus any fees). The result is taxed as a capital gain — short-term or long-term depending on how long you held it.
What records do I need to keep for crypto swaps?
Keep the date and time of each swap, the assets and amounts on both sides, the fiat value of each side at the moment of the swap, any network or service fees, and the wallet addresses involved. A non-custodial aggregator like SwapRocket shows the quoted rate and the executed amount — save the order confirmation.
Are stablecoin-to-stablecoin swaps taxable?
Yes — in most jurisdictions, swapping USDT for USDC (or any other stablecoin pair) is still a disposal. The gain or loss is usually negligible because the two assets track the same peg, but it must still be reported.
What happens if I swap crypto at a loss?
Capital losses generally offset capital gains in the same tax year, and many jurisdictions allow excess losses to carry forward to future years. Specific rules (wash-sale, ring-fencing, allowable losses) vary by country.
Does using a non-custodial exchange change my tax obligations?
No. The tax obligation attaches to the disposal itself, not to which service performed it. A non-custodial swap is treated the same as a swap on a centralised exchange for capital-gains purposes.
Swapping basics
What is the cheapest way to swap crypto?
A non-custodial aggregator is usually the cheapest option because it compares quotes from many providers and routes your trade to whichever one offers the best output, net of fees. Centralised exchanges add deposit, trading, and withdrawal fees on top, which often makes a single swap more expensive than a direct aggregated route.
Do I need an account to swap crypto?
No. Non-custodial swap services like SwapRocket never hold your funds, so no sign-up, no KYC for standard swaps, and no withdrawal limits apply. You only need your source wallet and a destination wallet address.
How long does a crypto swap take?
Most swaps settle in 5–20 minutes. Total time depends on the source network's confirmation speed (Bitcoin is slower than Solana) and on whether the destination network is congested.
What's the difference between a fixed and a floating rate?
A fixed rate locks the exchange rate for a short window (typically 10 minutes). A floating rate uses the market rate at the moment your deposit confirms. Fixed rates protect you from adverse moves but cost slightly more; floating rates are cheaper but expose you to short-term volatility.
Is swapping crypto safe?
Swapping through a reputable non-custodial service is generally safer than depositing to a centralised exchange because your funds are never held by a third party. The main risks are sending to the wrong network, mistyping the destination address, and using unverified providers.
Are crypto swaps taxable?
In most jurisdictions, yes — a swap is treated as a disposal of one asset and an acquisition of another, which is a taxable event. Check the specific rules in your country and keep records of the rate and date of each swap.
